i leak a small amount of fork oil on my fork legs. not dripping
just wet. i have new fork seals, old dust seals that i clean
with brake cleaner every ride. why the leak?
is it something internal with the forks?

seal. there are different opinions on cleaning the dust seals, I havnt had very much luck with any of them. Do a search on the subject, theres a bunch of people who have suggested to try using a piece of film to get dirt out from under the seal; it worked for me, so maybe give that a try.

i took apart my forks today cause i know i'm low on fork oil from leaking. i inspected my seals and bushings. bushings are
a little worn, and seals look new.
my kx dealer said fork bushings keep the fork in line with the fork tube and if the bushings are old and worn, the fliuld will pass right by the fork seal. it made sense to me. hope the leak stops now.
