What weight oil comes in 01 ktm forks? The manual says 5 weight but I have read several post that suggest changing to 5 weight.

I tore down two sets of "new" 2001 KTM forks recently. The fluid looked exactly like Mobil 1 ATF !!

I've been using 5 weight BelRay in my 01 400E 43mm's. Some people are using 7.5 to stiffen them up a bit but mine seem great with 5w and .46 springs (stock is .42, I weigh 205 in street clothes and only woods ride).

MTR,
I'm with KXV use the mobil 1. It works very well in the KTM. Don't use it in the KTM shock though!
