First, welcome to DRN!

I'm going to move this to the General Repair Forum for more views and better help.

What part of Texas are you in?

Check out the North Texas Smack Pack forum for opportunities to hook up with some fellow DRNers that reside mostly in and around the DFW Metromess.

it is imporant to replace the seals because the amount of oil you have in the forks affects their performance. If you have a manual, you can buy a few tools and do the fork seal yourself for about half of what a suspension shop would charge. In my area, fork seal replacement would be around $90 + parts and oil.
