Hello all! I've got an 01 KDX 200. I initially put in .382 XR400 springs and had good success. No rubbing or clicking noises at all. I finally bit the bullet and had my local Race Tech guy do gold valves and Race Tech springs (.42's) When I compress the forks I hear the spring rubbing the inside of the fork tube and I also get a clicking noise. I pulled the springs out with the forks still on the bike, and centered everything. I then turned the fork top tube to tighten the cap instead of turning the top cap. Still got the noise. I called the installer and he said he is puzzled, but ride it once and see if it quiets down? Race Tech in Cali said it isn't a big deal, but I don't like metal against metal in this situation. Any thoughts. I've searched everywhere here and have only found one report of it being damaging. Any thoughts?
