HEy, i am planning a trip to washington to go riding. I am from Britsh Columbia CAnada and i want to take my bike across the border. Is there anyhting ihave to do before i take it across? as well, will i need a permit for riding at designated off-road parks? If i do where do i get it? can i get just a week pass? what would all be involved? any help would be great.

As far as crossing if you want to be really safe stop at the Canadian side on the way down and register the VIN with Customs. I've never bothered as I can produce a bill of sale with the VIN from my dealer if they ever hassled us coming back.

Technically you need a permit from the WA government. I think it costs around $10 and is good for 60 days. Only problem is you have to find a place to get them from, and most are only open Monday-Friday so it's a pain for weekend warriors.
