front number plate for an '86er

hey guys,
i took a nice spill at my local track, on the un groomed asphalt hard dirt. bent my bars scraped up my front fender a bit. when i order my new bars i want to get a front number plate. i was thinking of rigging up another models plate to my kdx. i was looking at the kx 500s. what would be a good plate to mount up? also i want to gret ride of the trail tech thing but the top bar mount bolts are much longer than the lower ones, what should i do, get more lower for the top?

You could get creative and make one. I have a 3-wheeler that came with a home made front fender, made with none other then a snow shovel and zip ties. Its a honda so the orangeish color matched up prudy good.
