I have a question for all you XR riders. I want to use a front # plate when I ride Hare Scrambles. I have looked and talked to XRPred. His setup will not work for me because I run the Summers Fork Brace and Guards. Any ideas??
Thanks
Currently I run the stock plate / light too. I'm just trying to save time taking the light out everytime. I don't want to break it and I figure a # plate is cheaper than a new headlight.
Unrelated Wolf, did you notice after cutting your front fender for the SRC Brace that it now moves too much.I ordered an SRC fender brace, what a pain in the a$$ to put on with the drilling and tapping of threads. Works OK. I am not totally satisfied. A better fender brace, and simplier would not be hard to design.
Yes, it moves a little too much in muddy conditions, but I am not worrired about it. I spray my fender with pam cooking spray and that keeps the mud off.
To keep my lights from breaking, I mounted wire guards for Jeep CJ headlights (bajadesigns size) and turn signals (stock size). Jeep and off-road shops carry these for the old square lighted CJ models.
