I have a 03 Xr70 and on the front shocks there is one valve on top of each shock and it looks like an air valve what is it for?

I think it is for air presure. From my MTB experience and old dirt bikes your forks are oil/coil with air assist. So, depending on what type of ridding you are doing you can set the preasure for harder ridding or light trail duties. Beware thoe that the higher PSI you run in the fork legs the more chance you have of blowing oil past the fork seals.

I see thanks thats what i thought they were for and i am just afraid of over filling the forks with air.
