How long will it be before MX bikes are all fuel-injected? I know that the Cannondale is, so why arent the CRF and the YZF? It just seems like such an easier(better) way to tune your bike- plug in your computer and adjust the engine characteristics as opposed to screwing around with different jetting.

I was out on the trail talking to a BLM ranger a couple of weeks ago about this sort of thing. Things like fuel injection and other technological advances would result in increased performance as well as lowered emissions. The problem is the mainstream industry is geared up for 'oldschool' and it would be costly to change it. We both agreed that we will see more of this type of stuff when it becomes profitable (decreased bike sales due to EPA pressures?). The technology is there, but the manufacturers are too busy making lots of money the way things are now.
