Fuel tank draining

Why does it take so long to drain the fuel from my kdx220? I remove the pipe from the carb and turn the tap on. The fuel flows well for 3 secs and then slows to a trickle. Then turning to reserve is the same. Filler cap is off :bang: Takes forever to drain. Any ideas???? :think:

Maybe the petcock is clogged.

Most likely the strainer/filter insde the tank. When you get it empty, remove the valve filter and service. Slow flow from the tank can cause weird peak performance characteristics. Cheers John
