OK Guys, first post here from ol Steve out in Kalifornia - - How far will a 220 go on a full tank of fuel?? We have big wide open spaces out here and I like to go out for long rides.
We did 75miles last weekend up in the mounains and it was a hoot. I'm riding a KTM 440 now but am getting a new 220 next weekend. Keeping the KTM for a pit bike.:D

Don't know about a 220, but my KDX 250 (insert gashog if you like;) ) will barely crack 50 miles on a 3.5 gallon tank.

The lack of replies is probably due to the holiday weekend.:D

I have a 2.9 gallon tank and after I jetted I can do roughly 75 miles of hard trails. With stock jetting around 60miles.

I got my log book out and on 11-18-99 I went 77.9 miles and made it home but I was on reserve. The ride was mostly rock roads and easy trails. The next high mileage rides were 56.8 on 2-1-98 and 54.6 on 4-28-01 and on these two rides reserve was not hit and those rides were enduro type woods trails. I would say 60-65 miles is a given on stock machine like mine is.

heres the dill pickel, how hard are you on the throttle? if your at WOT the gas is bound to not last as long, then take into consideration is the bike jetted, it should get better mileage right? you are effectivly putting in a smaller jet to lean the bike, so it should do better on gas, but ive found that my bike with a 158 main in top clip position is way better on gas, than my bike is running with a 155 main in mid clip position, but it runs way better i guess what im trying to say is that so many things come into play the only way to guess mileage is to just ride and see, im sure with stock jetting you should be able to get about 60 miles out of it.

Yeppers, hard to say, depends so much on how you ride it. Just for another data point, I seem to get around 50 miles out of a tank. 200, after market pipe, RAD valve reeds, rejetted, etc, etc.

I keep pretty good track of my mileage and I can go 125 on my stock '89 tank which is 3.2 I believe. I have every mod you can think of and I am properly jetted. Hope this helps.

I recently did 60 miles of tight technical trails without turning to reserve. My 220 is stock except for the FMF torque pipe with turbine core 2 spark arrestor.

I raced a "hare scramble" which turned out to be a long motocross, it was very fast and I ran out of gas at 66 miles! In the woods I can easily get into the 80 mile range and that is a mix of fast/medium paced trail riding. '00 kdx 2.9 gallon tank.
