Does anyone have experience with a Garmin Quest or Quest 2 for use as a trail riding GPS? It's designed to be used in the car like a TomTom, on a motorcycle, and for handheld use as a regular mapping GPS. I'm just wondering if anyone here has used one for off road and if it's as capable as some of the off road specific models. Thanks

Yepper, I have used one for a year and a half in single track and quite a bit of two track on dual-sport rides. It has met a tree or two and is slightly worse for wear but has held up surprisingly well. Big....huge BUT coming, it cannot manipulate track logs at all internally. I can "fool" it loading from Mapsource, but the process is a hassle and kind of involved. You'd honestly be much better off w/a 60cx. I have a 'csx I have yet to use instead of my Quest, but I always do things the hard way. :coocoo:
