Hi !
I have a 99 EC 300. The brake pedal is starting to whear at the centre where it is bolted to the frame. On most other bikes there is a bearing or something in between the pedal and the bolt but the GAS is metal to metal. Do you know any good solutions to cure this ?
Thanks

Take the pedal off and check the threaded shaft that it pivots on. If it's tight then it's probably the bushing.
If the treaded shaft is loose then the weld holding it to the frame has been cracked or broken. It will require re-welding.
Mine has broken off twice and needed welding to fix.

Thanks,
That explains why mine is still loose after welding the broken mount and getting a new bushing.
I guess I should re-install my old bushing with the new one.

Install a zerk fitting in the pedal before the mounting stud wears and you will have no slop problems. Loosen the bolt, give it a shot of grease, and retighten every few rides. I also did this to my kickstarter. Both are like new after one season.
