Gas Gas MC 250?

I am considering a MC 250 for racing B class motocross next season. I've read about how great the Gas Gas bikes are in Enduro and Hare Scrambles, but how are they compared to the jap MX bikes? I rode a '02 KX 250 last season and had trouble getting it to turn, and it was under powered up the big hills. Any info would be helpful.

There are very few of these in the U.S. right now - there are a couple of wide ratio four speed units and a couple that were special ordered with the six speed gearbox. Suggest that you post over on smackover's board to get feedback on it - there are a couple of guys that ride them who frequent there.

I'm also looking at buying an mc250, the dealer has a left over 2002 with
the 4 spd. Its a good deal but I can't find out much about the mc models. All sorts of info on the woods bikes though but they are a little different. I'm not too sure of the 4 spd.

rode my '02 MC250 today (2nd ride) still cant believe how good this bike is especially handling wise its a dream. i liked my 4 spd although the '02 is a 6spd.

rider100- did you get the '02 MC250 ? i have a '02 MC250 w/6 spd has 5 rides on it i prefer the 4 spd would be interested in trading bottom ends.if can be of ant help let me know. thanks-rhett bultokid@earthlink.net
