OK I have a 01 EC 200 that I LOVE, but I must admit some days I feel a little under powerd when ridding with the 250 gang. I now have a chance to buy a 02 EC 250 with Ohlin front forks and pretty low hours for only $3600 US . Has anyone out there ridden both bikes and would like to help me make the right choice.... will I loose some of the fun factor for more power ??

Both are fabulous, and the 250 is really easy to ride as well. Even though the two share a chassis, the 200 still feels a bit more flickable, but I'd give it up for the Ohlins fork!

I made the decision about a month ago when I sold my '99EC200. Although the bike was awesome, I felt I needed a little more get up and go for racing. Thus, I'm turning my '00MC250 into my woods bike.

I don't think that you'll loose the fun factor although you will need to ride differently. Instead of screaming the 200 in 2nd gear throught the tight stuff, you'll be running in 3rd and lugging it at times. Put a flywheel weight on to slow the hit if needed.

OK I have decided on the 250 and the guy that owns it is willing to trade me bikes.....how much $$$ extra should I offer him for his 02 250 with the olin forks over my 01 200 ...if you know the FAIR price tell me , and they both have about the same amount of hours and wear.
