Does ANYBODY use belray 80W in there gear boxes? Looks like the gearbox will take an entire litre!
If i use an entire litre will it blow a seal?

Dude,

I tried the Belray 80w in my '01 220 and put in the full liter as I read that there was no problem handling that capacity. My bike started shifting much harder, and I was hitting neutral in crucial situations (very frustrating!) So I went back to Motul 10w-30 and to the recommended 700ml. The bike now shifts much smoother and I find myself at the top of the hill instead of screaming in the middle.;)

Hrms, I've used Spectro 80W for a while. Not had any issues.

Recently used 10w-40 as I was out of the 80w and had IMHO a few more neutrals. Just replaced it with the 80w again. Not a full quart but high on the site glass as recommended and while it's still a little noisy. It seems better to me.

another epinion :)

I've tried Spectro, BelRay, & Mobil 1. The 10w40 Mobil 1 was far superior for smooth shifting in my 1994 KDX. It's worth a try in your machine:)
