My wife and I just purchased a couple bikes, and need better gear. We are about to move to an extremely rainy area, so need stuff that will be good in the rain and mud.

The biggest thing I am looking for opinions on is boots. I hate wet feet. Are all riding boots waterproof? Are some better than others?

As for the rest of the gear, I was thinking about good cordura jackets and pants, since its not very warm where we are going. We will be doing mostly trails, little if any track time, so that is not a consideration.

The qualities we are looking for:

-protection
-comfort (waterproof, moves easily, etc)
-quality (don't want gear falling apart on us after a couple months)

While price and style are also factors, they are a lot lower on the scale.

Thanks in advance.

my fox trackers hold up really well to mud and water, and they're bottem end stuff... as for the riding apparel... old hoodies, columbia waterproof pants and a rain jacket and you're set... you wont be the best looking guy around, but you'll be the dryest!
