genuine or aftermarket piston

could any of you guys tell me if a vertex or wiseco piston kit will give me better performance on my cr 125 03 than the standard piston as i havent used the one in the spares kit yet and i am due a change,just wondered wether the non genuine had more compression etc.grateful for any help

yes both give more compression than the rattly std one does, it gives a nice boost to the bottom end.
Steve125 has posted some stuff on tuning the 03 Cr125, basically i think the FMF factory fatty was good and std reeds with the reed stops narrowed 1mm.
A 36mm carb actually helped power slightly but its alot of trouble for the gains.
