If you are a beginner who is planning to ride in trails and who likes Honda's, CRF250X will be the right choice for you..

If you can steal one for the 2000 you have to spend. The best thing for you to start on would probly be an xr250. They are very reliable, have enough power for trail riding, are about perfect size for you, and can be found in great shape for around your budget. A kdx would also be a good bike for you. It is basically the 2 stroke version of the xr.

What about a CRF150 are the any good even though they are 4 stroke? Also i want something that has a lot of power off the line. I have read that 2 strokes don't last that long either if u run them for a while and the plugs foul out a lot any truth on this?
