Alright, I must state that I have absolutely no knowledge of dirt bikes and the like. With that being said I need your guys help. I am willing to spend $1200-$1700 on a new or very slightly (maybe a year) used bike. The bike doesn't need to be able to take a huge beating, I wont be running it over any hardcore terrain, mainly decent speeds of around 70-75 mph over some hilly dirt roads. I would just like a sturdy decent powered bike. I wanna say around 125-150cc. I am posting this at the risk of sounding utterly dumb founded, but my sons birthday is very soon and he would like one. So please help with a link to the bike and tell me why you would pick that one, thanks so much. If such power can not be obtained for this price please inform me.

Here are the answer to the questions
1) your physical size (both height and weight are important) 130lbs and 5'7
2) How physical / aggressive are you ? Extremely athletic--- runs cross country
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????Woods, and hilly dirt plots with friends. Probably will be paired with an ATV (Polaris 330)
4) Do you have any riding experience? Very little, only on an atv
5) Do you think you will race ? Never
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work? probably not minus the periodic oil changes.
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)? I heard Yamaha is good, but I know nothing. I think I am going to get a 4 stroke, but if you guys say otherwisebe my guest.
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry? We have a few Yamaha Honda dealers, don't worry about that, just give me a decent bike name and I'll find it
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike? 12-1700
10) Do you live in California? No Arizona
11) Your age? He will be riding and he is 17
12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion
Nope thanks for your help
