Grease a wheel bearing?

I have an old scooter that I just changed the tires on. Before I put it back together I should probably grease the bearings. What is the proper way to clean and grease a wheel bearing and what type of grease is needed? I do have Maxima waterproof grease.

You should take a paper towel wipe all of the old grease out and rub in the new grease with your fingers!

If the bearings are sealed, you will have to remove the seal with a very fine pick. Then flush them out and re-grease. If you remove the bearings they have to be replaced as they are damaged on removal.
