I was talking to the dealer about having to grease the rear suspension and he mentioned that one of his mechanics will take it apart and install grease nipples whereever needed so I'll never have to take it apart to grease it again. Apparently it is a very reasonable price (he didn't say what reasonable was). Has anyone heard of this or had it done?
You still have to take everything apart to get all the water and contaminates out. Start with a TOTALLY clean bike and it really isn't that hard or time consuming. Pumping more grease into a contaminated bearing may be easier in the short term, but you still have to get all the contaminated grease out eventually or it will etch and pitt your bearings and sleeves.
I really don't think that will work on the needle bearings found on bike suspension. For a car with ball joints sure. But even if you did manage to put grease fittings on all of the pivot points how is the grease going to get all the way into the needle bearings and bushings?
