After working on the bike the entire summer, it is finally done! My buddy GAVE ME his 1994 CR125 (one of the most powerful years for the 2 stroker) for free. He thought the crank bearings blew, and he didnt want any of the trouble of redoing it, so he got a 250 instead. What really happened was the piston ring sheared off, and ruined the head and the top of the piston. The cylinder had zero damage to it thank god.
I stripped the entire bike. Replaced every bearing and seal on rear swingarm and axles. Had the frame sprayed candy apple red, handle bars were sprayed candy apple blue. Brake components were powdercoated blue and red to compliment the frame as well. Rear wingarm was sanded down and left with a stainless steel look. Engine was stripped, and all bearings and seals were replaces also. Brand new Wiseco crank, and top end put in. Used a micrometer to make sure all transmission gears and forks were within limits. Cases put back together with a barnet clutch as well with carbon fiber disks. Engine was sprayed a semigloss black as well. Vforce 3 reeds were also installed with stock carb. New head was also used direct from hondaparts-direct. K & N Air filter also installed.
The story gets even better! I needed a full exhaust setup, and sourced the only one in the country! FMF Fatty plus powercore 2 silencer. These have been backordered for my year for the past 6 months and still are till november! And I found the last two new parts in this country! New ceet seat cover, and all plastics were painted a flat black after a black primer.
Trailtech vapor was also installed to give accurate rpms, speed, hours, water temp. Frame gaurds were polished, kickstarter polished, and all msr levers. Pictures will come this weekend after i take her out for the first ride. ( dont worry, she starts up on the first kick ).
This was my first bike rebuild ever. I loved it so much! Thank you to Clymer for helping me out!
