He's always been carrying a gun, he just wants to start reloading so he can put together his own, less-than-lethal, spider-round. Supposedly you can stack 3 small black widows in a .38 case, 4 in a .357, and with the right powder, send them up to 100 feet without hurting them. They are usually a little "agitated" when they land, though. Are you volunteering for testing?

Keep in mind everyone that the main reason your cases spilt is the resizing, belling the case mouth, and then crimping it back on the bullet each reload. No matter the support of your chamber or the power factor of your load...the combination of work hardening by firing and the fatique from reforming the case mouth a number of times is going to split it.

Nice thing about pistols (semi-autos) is that I can count on losing about 10% of the cases everytime I shoot. Automatically turns over the inventory.

I'm using a 44 mag, Gomer, so we're talking tarantulas.
