Bret - It's a 1/2 ton, back to G20 from the G1500 they had ben using. The engine is 5.3, which is all I need, and the WB is standard. The totalled one had a 305 and I got 18 + or - 2. With 3 bikes on the trailer, leaded with gear and two passengers - at 75 in a strong cross wind it dropped to 14.5.
Fred - You are correct. The differences are color, hood & grill, console, lining panels, wheels, rack & pinion steering, rear disc brakes, tires up to 245, filters, drive shaft mounting and engine compartment set up. Connie wanted cruise control as a help for her right foot, which bothers some trying to hold constant pressure.
Mark - Yes, it looks good - for now. The old one was a lighter blue green, which to me was better. The body and frame are the same. Switched trailer hitch with ease. Although the taillights are the same, the wiring isn't. The turn and stop are now together, while the bottom lens is blank. Couldn't figure out why it didn't light until I took it apart.
Overall, we're content and satisfied with it. This is about 46,000 miles ahead of schedule and having the old one totalled with me bang up free, is a bonus. My ways have changed - guaranteed.
