I've been out of the scene for a few years and I'm picking up a used '01 Yz250 this week. The tires are pretty worn so I will need a new set but I'm trying to be a cheapskate. I'm looking for a hardpack tire that will wear for a while. I ride mostly two tracks, dirt roads, fire roads, and some trails but they are more black dirt and rocky than sand. Any suggestions for a cheap set?

As a fellow cheapskate I only use maxxis on the rear. fairly cheap, great traction, and they wear like iron. Never used the hard terrain model but intermed and soft intermed havent let me down yet.
