I have been able to wrangle a ZEP Dyna-Brute parts washer. I am looking for a cost effective, safe parts washing solution. I will use this in my home shop, so I won't be useing it daily.

Kerosine and mineral spirits have been suggested so far.

Thanks, Steve.

If you have a Tractor Supply store near you , they sell a parts washer solvent.

A couple of problems with kerosene, mineral spirits, stoddard solvent, etc -- flammability and disposal.

I use Simple Green, (diluted 1:1 to 2:1, just for cost reasons).

kerosene works better than simple green and the like. that can't be contested. most cities have a disposal facility for such solvents. otherwise, many auto parts stores also take reclaimed oil and solvents (might be a fee).
