Bad deal.... Does anyone know how he crushed his ankles? Cased a jump?

I keep reading about guys who case a jump or flat-land, are able to ride it out/not crash, but have completely splintered their ankles in the process.

The draw is at one of their local races sometime this month, not sure of the exact date.

This was posted today by Doug Forstner (injured rider) on another board.

Well the external fixators came out of my leg last week. The bone stimulator is doing its job. I know can get around with my walker and have only crashed once with it. (Down the wheelchair ramp) I go out to get the mail and paper everyday plus go to therapy too. I even got out to our local practice track yesterday to watch the boys practice. The simple pleasures in life like smelling a CR250 or YZ250 fire up and blow exhaust in your face keep me going.

The raffle is still Sun April 24th at Dyracuse MX park. Still looking for more raffle prizes to give away if anyone wants to donate something that would be great.

Thanks for all the support my family and I really appreciate it.
