I know the feeling Gary B. , I broke my collarbone about 10 months ago. I was on the couch for about a week. Didn't really sleep to much that first week. The couch has home base. For me the pain was pretty bad the first couple of days. Watch out for the sneezes, coughs, and laughing. Take the calcium pills and relax. I wore the figure eight for whatever the doctor recommended, I think six weeks. There is still a knot or bump where the two pieces fused together. I started back into the workout schedule after about four weeks , just doing cardio. It took me about three months till I could ride again and even at the point the doctor was saying four more weeks. Everyone is different than when it comes to healing, could only be a month and half. Just get the wife or girlfriend to go rent those movies you've been wanting to see or luckily I had a whole season of motocross and supercross on tape I watched. Take care
