Help! My better halves just bought a 1978Suzuki RM50 so our wife could learn how to ride(she is very tiny).

It is a 2 stroke, does anybody know the oil to gas ratio?

The new ones are oil injected to avoid premixing but i do not know if this one is or not. How do i tell?

Any info will be appreciated, Tess

I believe that bike is oil injected but look under the seat or behind side panels for a small tank. Use oil specifically for oil injection.

you can use klotz - its good for pre mix ,or injection-and its great oil!
its a rm- race bike- its not injected-
try 32:1-
20:1 with race fuel i think is factory- but even thats rich on oil-

20:1 is more oil than 32:1, and smokes, and fouls plugs like crazy-

Save your search for the oil tank, that was a premix model. At the time, we ran CCI 20:1 in those bikes but you should be fine with a more modern oil at 40:1
