Help locating a substitute throttle cable boot

Over the weekend I took apart the my Yamaha DT-175 throttle cable to clean and lube it. The small rubber boot that keeps dust out of the cable is badly cracked and needs to be replaced. The dealer tells me you can only buy it with the entire $23 cable. Ouch!

One end (1/4" hole) fits over the throttle cable. The other end (9/16" hole) fits over the throttle grip. Anyone found a close substitute that's cheaper? FYI, even searched the web for bicycle parts but no luck.

Many thanks, never thought of any of those! Got a couple of spark plug boots lying around. Will try those first.
