just bought first kawie a 2004 kx250 i'm a suzuki boy lookin for a change. really like the bottom end pulls real nice out of cornering but top end feels weak and any other tips? it's jetted and piped with a FMF shorty but my 40:1 fuel mix ratio seems a lil' smoky anybody found a real science to make 'er run a lil cleaner i dont wanna start fouling plugs or nothin. I'd appreciate any helpful hints or insight

yes amsoil works well and so does yamaha 2t or maxima 927 you could do 40:1 on a 250 because it doesnt need to be screaming like a raped ape for an extended period to keep it goin. just watch your jetting. spooge can be fuel related too. do you use race fuel.
