I just did this last week on my buddys xr80r.

Cam gear:
both lobes face down
Cam gear bolts should be even with the top of the cylinder. The "o" should be at 12 O'Clock.

Flywheel:
Theres a "T" and a "F" on the flywheel, there is a little triangle on the case around 2 O'Clock. You line the "T" up directly with the triangle.

Attach the timing chain. Thighten the chain by the tensionor. Everything should be still lined up. Rotate the motor with the spark plug out. It should turn over without any problems.
