As you know the KYB shock on the KXF/RM-Z 250 '04 comes with only a lowspeed compression adjuster on the shock.
I like to have more ways to adjust my shock, so i like to have Hi/Lo speed adjuster. As i know from older KYB shocks with Hi/Lo, there is a second passage in the shock body (rectangular to the main cavaty where you put the comp adjuster in). Looking from the outside, i could not see any second passage on my KXF shock body.

My question :

Have you modified a KYB shock of KXF/RM-Z 250 '04 to hi/Lo speed compression ?

Will an older KYB or Showa Comp adjuster work, and if from what model or bike ?

Do you know of any other shock that will just fit (eyelet to eyelet 475 mm) ?

Thankks for your help - Hagen

Terry,

thanks for that info. I asked Zupin, the german Race Tech importer, about it - but they don't have it in yet. So i was hoping to find a KYB or Showa unit that will fit (and work).

From your answer i guess that the second passage is not necessary for hi/lo compression, right ?

When the RaceTech delta valve works, so should any other valve work too ? Maybe not as good than the delta valve ...
