I have an 89 KX125 with a stock pipe. I really don't have the money to spend on a performance pipe at this time, but have heard that hollowing out the stock one will provide better performance. Is this true? and if so how would you go about doing it?

Thanks

That's what I thought

I always thought it was hollow inside, until I saw a pipe listed on ebay, stating that it had been hollowed for better performance!

89-94' kdx200's

have a super heavy; double walled pipe, and when the inner layer is removed adds performance gains over the whole rpm range. All two stroke and for stroke pipes are hollow, the shape and construction of a two stoke's pipe determines the power.
