Honda 2002 XR 80 or 2003 TTR 90 for 11yr old son's 1st bike?

Guys/Gals,
I need some advice. I have two great deals I am considering on the 2002 XR 80 and the TTR 90 E. Any advice?
My son is 11yrs old but this will be his 1st bike. He has ridden the neighbor's lil CRF-50.

I dont have kids, so I am far from an expert on this topic, but I started riding a Honda XL75 when I was 9 and grew out of it in about 2 years. My friend has a son that is about to turn 10 and he is looking at an XR80...I think he told me his son is 4'10". 11 is a tricky age...not really big enough for a 4 stroke 125, and will out grow an XR80 very quickly. You might try an XR100. I would imagine it depends on his height more than anything.

xr100r would be a better choice....about the same power but won't outgrow it as quick....my son rode one for 4 years(he's 16 now and riding my xr650!)
