Hi all, I recently bought a shock from the states after it was advertised as a 2002 CR250 shock, it arrived today and its a KYB shock with the part number KZ4-L21, does this mean its a CR125 shock? I always thought the 250's ran Showa rather than KYB suspension.
Secondly if it is a 125 shock, how different to the 250 shock would it be? will there be different valving etc? If I bolt it in my CR250 will it work?
Any help appreciated.... cheers

CR250's are Showa's here. Have been at least since 97 IIRC. CR125's are Kayaba I belive. Don't know the differences, but typically the 125 will have a bit softer spring and slightly less compression and rebound damping. The 125 always got great reviews for its suspension quality:) If it will physically bolt in and has the same length and stroke as your origional shock it should work fine. It may be a bit soft, but nothing a little valving couldn't cure.

good luck
