I know that 2 strokes it's recommended to run a ball hone throught the bore during the rebuild process to clean up the cylinder walls. I can't see any reason the theory should be different for a 250F but before I recommend this to my buddy who is doing an 08 KXF I thought I'd get an opinion from you smarties.

I've only ever used Green scotchbrite pads because I don't have a hone, should I be getting one?

It's common practice on four stroke automotive engines. Just enough to break the glaze. Ball hones and brush hones for different finishes. Opps you asked for the smarties sorry :bang:

Doug - Get a Brush Research Aluminum Oxide 320 grit Flex Hone in the same size as the bore or as close as you can get to it.

Wiseco also makes a comparable product.
