Not riding fast enough. Seriously, though, I wish the guy the best in his recovery. Sounds like he's going to be OK. Freak lightning strikes kill a football player at practice now and again in Texas. They can strike even when the clouds look miles away.

That happened the week after we were there! It was sunny and 70 all that week.
