So what's up with Matt Walker!? I don't think I've ever seen him leading a main. Great post race interview.

Bubba in a 1st lap pile up, came out 17th, can't move up?

1. Matt Walker (Who'd ah thunk it?)
2. Preston
3. Sobet (sp?)

Stewart 10th! (keeps his #1 spot in the points, Preston 10 points behind)

250's
1. RC
2. Nate Dog
3. Lusk

Seems that Bubba broke his foot sometime in the near past and even was walking with a noticeable limp at the race. This could put some more pressure on his title run. Travis Preston has proven that he can win so he does have a chance at keeping it interesting. Eric Sorby seems to have adapted quickly to a KX 125 and is able to finish third in his first US Supercross, wow, thats pretty impressive, but then again he is French. I hope that Matts win is enough to convince Mitch Payton to let him keep his ride for the Nationals. Matt has shown that he has the speed a few times outdoors and his win tonight has to be great for him. If Matt is able to stay with Pro Circuit I'm sure he'll turn in some good rides outdoors. In the 250 class RC is really rolling along now, 5 in a row. He kept his cool and waited on Ramsey, who lead half the race, and then got the lead and held it, he lapped up to 12th I believe. Ramsey rode great and Lusk was fast, he lead for a while, fell down and then still made the podium. DV fourth so RC's points lead grows a bit more.

I'm not a big fan of RC...I wish they would factor in the personalities to find the winner
Where's Travis in that list????

Travis Preston is one of our high desert locals, and a genuine nice guy, so it's great to see him posting such good results. Podium, podium, podium......keep it up Travis!:)

Personality????

I guess if personality had anything to do with racing then RC
would not be over 3 seconds a lap faster then the newest
125 phenom. Looks like RC will be the man until he decides
to retire in 10 years!

I was very impressed with Lusk. If you'll notice, he seemed to have given up NO ground to RC or Ramsey (after his crash:confused: ). He looked like butter in the whoops, and seems to be getting better and better the longer he rides.

My take on RC vs. Ramsey: Ramsey nodded at him and let him by. RC could have eventually passed him anyway, but if Ramsey was on a Yamaha, RC would have made a huge mistake trying to get around him (like he almost did in the whoops).

Also, Preston looked amazing. He's unreal in the whoops as well, the way the bike looks like it's on a fulcrum under his huge frame.:)

When RC (finally) passed Ramsey, they gave each other a simultanious look mid-air after the catapult...can you say photo-op? :)

If RC had his suspension set right, he wouldn't look like a LCQ in the whoops.

ABC Coverage

I thought the ABC coverage was pretty good, especially how they captured the bikes' sounds so well. You could almost feel Ramsey's thumper, and Preston's 125 sounded good...real good. It had a deep sound almost like an overbore (I'm sure it's not, though).

The best shot all day was the ground-level rear view of Preston blitzing the whoops. Amazing.

What happened to Ping? Did his bike break in half again, or did he crash?

If Ramsey was on a Yamaha he wouldn't have been up front for RC to battle with, lol

Dont tell my bike I said that

Whoops--my point was just that if he was on a different color bike/team, Ramsey wouldn't have nodded & let him by. There was one occasion when he came sliding in and could have blockpassed RC--hard. I know I would have done it, irregardless of the contract and who's on what team. That's racin', baby.:)
