How do racers keep from racking themselves?

I have started racing again, left it when I was in my teens. How do racers keep from injuring their groin area coming off of jumps etc....?

This is a serious issue.

Well don't wear boxers for one:scream:!! That was a bad move on my part:eek:. I wear a jock strap to hold up my jewels. It works incase you screw up and land on your stomach or something. Also standing up as much as you can helps with that and many other things. Don't wear a cup in your jock strap though, because I had a friend who was dumb enought to do that and he landed on his stomach when he was crashing and well he was walking kinda funny after that:silly:.

I have my wife hold on to mine, she usually has them most of the time anyway, keeping them an extra day doesn't really matter! Sometimes I ask her if I can have them for the day cause the other guys have theirs!

Read the "Procedure" post, we got a dirt guy that had his taped to his chest. Definately out of the way unless you hit the bars with your chest! :) Not getting too specific but I usually can't find mine for a while after I ride. They just disappear and then suddenly reappear a short while later. I think they are sound sensative and when they know the coast is clear, they "pop' right out again. I guess you could always ride backwards too.:think

Wear a skirt, less chance of rackage! Hey if anyone asks, just tell them your getting in touch with your feminine side. Hell these days, no one would even look twice unless of course you wore a mini skirt with no undies and your periscope was checking for enemies!:)

come on fellow drn'ers lets be serious. Compression shorts and jock straps seem feasible, and the cup is a definite injury waiting to happen. So the best thing to do, REALISTICALLY is just cut your testicles off. :scream:

Yeah but did they also close off the frontage road too!? And what if they pull a Steve McQueen and jump the gap?
