Hey Guys (And Gals!),

I'm looking to get new fork seals put in my 06 YZ250. I don't have the time unfortunately right now to do it myself.

I was quoted $190 locally here. How much have you guys been paying for the newer twin chamber forks?

Thanks!

We charge somewhere in the neighborhood of $120 for them. 45 minutes of labor ($51), $40 seals/wipers, $30 for oil and shop fees. And then what's taxable ontop of that. So yeah, around $120.

$75-$100 in Maryland. That's if you remove and just bring in the forks. I'd suggest a shop that specializes in suspension work, instead of the dealer.

That price isn't from a dealer. I've been in Brazil for a while so I had forgotten how much I had payed before. The last time (On my 02) I just did them myself.
I remember paying around $120. $190 sounds a little steep.

MCR does mine (Michigan) for around 120$ and they have never disappointed me and they log all your settings for you. oh yea that included the rear shock also and that is w/ you removing all the parts and bringing them in yourself.

I had mine done at the shop, over $200. I don't know much about the insides of forks. I don't know what should be replaced when taking them apart. They recommended various things that should be replaced when they are apart. So, I took the bait hook, line and sinker. For a little more, I could have sent them to a real suspension shop and gotten a revalve also.
