How to get the axle out for changing a tire?

Is there a special tool for getting the axle out of the forks. I need to replace my tire plus put my new fork guards on. I think I've heard of an axle tool before, but is there an easier way and cheaper to remove the axle. If not, who stocks the tool and how much is it?

It should just be the pinch bolts that need loosened up first, then you can loosen the axle all the way and pull it out.

Yep, be sure all four pinch bolts are loose. Tap it with a rubber mallet also. If it takes more than that, be sure to grease it up real nice before reassembling it. :cool:
