how to mount new bars

I just bought new pastrana fmx bars and i already have tag oversized clamps on it i was just wondering how to mount them.I no how to do the throttle and everything but i dont know how far forward or towards me they are supposed to go.Should i just do what feels best or so their is no angle forward or back.Also are the stock cables going to be long enough to reach the bars without binding.This is on my 02 rm250. thanks for the help

You should start them out with the some angle as the forks and if you do not feel comfortable you can rotate them foward or backwards to get them in the right spot.

Cables should be fine. I just installed some Deegan Freestyle bars on my 01 RM250 and they fit fine. And the Deegans are taller. Pastrana = 4.75 and Deegan = 4.92.

As for position...just push em to where you like em. I think mine are +1.

Theres no right or wrong way, do what feels best to you. Hell I no a kid who bends the right side forward about a half inch, crazy but thats what he likes.
