First you must remove the clip in the masterlink, this can be done by using different methods like using a flathead screwdriver, small vise grips, or needle nose pliers. Once you remove it pull the masterlink off and take the chain off. Now to put the new one on remove the front sprocket guard so you can slide the chain on the front sprocket first. BTW have the bike in nuetral. Then pull the chain back to the rear along with the other end of the chain. Next you must put the lower end of the chain through the chain guide and then connect both peices of chain with the masterlink. Make sure you put the masterlink clip so the 2 ends are facing the rear so it doesn't come off during riding. Now once you put the link on put some of it on the lower part of the sprocket (if you try using the top of the sprocket the chain will get caught in the chain guard. Finally roll the bike foward so the chain catches on the sprocket. You can do it easier if you unloosen your axle bolt and loosen the chain adjusters aslong as you set the slack to the right length. Also give the chain a good lubing. Hope this helps...DC
