How much is involved in actually removing the bladder from the forks (04 KYB KX250F) ?? I have pulled my forks down before, changed oils, seals etc etc but I have never taken that much notice of the bladder.

Is it easy to remove or is there more to it ??

Thanks.

All ya gotta do is slide the collar up on the bottom of the bladder and remove the circlip that is under it pull the spring off that seal the top of it and slide it off. But, if it was up to me I would leave it in , because it adds pressure to the bottom fork oil and cuts down on cavitation /emulsification (air mixing with the oil) within the chamber .

I bet you are looking to soften up the action an braking bumps ??

Thanks for the info.

You won the bet as well. Suggestions ????

I have gone to softer springs for my weight and removed the springs/washer setup at the top of the bladder under the spring seat.

No dought the sub tanks work great but they are pricey. I would start off with backing off the shims on the base valve and tighten up the float on the mid-valve . And reinstall the washer under the spring. also run a light 2.5weight fork oil like motorex.
