I have an 04 KX85 that has a grooved clutch basket so its time for replacment. How in the heck do you get the hub nut off for what looks like the first time? I purchased a motion pro hub tool and I cant get the nut to budge. I looks like the nut has been peened to the shaft at the factory.

Should be a washer folded over against the nut, knock it flat with a flathead screwdriver. You should then be able to undo the nut with an impact gun or a breaker bar and the clutch holder you purchased.

Nope, the KX85 doesn't use a lock washer.. Just took my nephew's apart..

You just need to lock up the inner basket, and use an impact with some nuts.

I tried using my cheap Walmart impact, no luck. Got a good Ingersol-Rand, and it
came right off.

Oops, bad assumption on my part as every clutch I've ever taken apart had the lock washer. Guess I never had the clutch on the kids KX80 apart.
