I just got back from Vermont where I got my road legal plate for my KDX. Here's how I did it. Vermont only plates bikes 300cc or over. So since I had rebuilt my KDX to a 300cc, I had to apply for a new title & filled out a form stating I was the manufactorer of the new bike. I also had to bring it to vermont so they could check the Vin. After that I walked out with the plate in hand. You can plate any bike 300cc & over through the mail. Check out Vermonts DMV web site. They have all the info. :thumb:

Good going. VT would also street plate (but not title) a bike UNDER 300cc. I got my VT street plate for my 220 by mail (to MA) in 2002 for about $30 + sales tax. I have heard they got tougher and you may have to go in person as you did.

I got a street plate for my 04' KDX220R here in Ontario ;)

Just when in with the new bike papers (that do not mention it is off-road only, and insurance and said "the D is for dual purpose" ;)

Gave me the plate with no problem.
