Whats up guys. I've always been interested in MX and now I can finally afford to get into it. I am a licensed motorcycle rider, but have no experience in the dirt. I will be purchasing my first bike in the next month or so, and really just signed up here to read alot about the bikes, to educate myself further.
I'm going to buy used, (to try to save a couple thousand off of a new bike), and I've narrowed it down to either an 05 YZ250F or an 05 CRF250R. There appears to be plenty of both out on the resale market, both "race bikes" and what I call "mistake bikes".
Thats really what I want, (a "mistake bike") something that somebody bought, and just never really rode, not all decaled up, and ragged out.
I've owned a Yamaha Waverunner and so I know how bullet proof the Yami's are, but I just keep going back to the CRF. Ughhh.......I cant decide. The only thing I keep hearing about the Honda's is maintenance issues, bad valves, etc. I'm not a mechanic and definately dont want a super high maintenance bike.
Anyway, I'm sure there are plenty of opinions here, and they are all welcome.
