Ignition switch for dual-sport conversions

My 1997 XR400 was street licensed by a previous owner, but he didn't use a kit (i.e., Baja Designs). There is no on/off switch of any kind, so I would like to add a key switch.

I'm going down to my local salvage dealer (Johnson & Wood) and browse through the parts bin. But, I was wondering what other folks have done for their dual-sport conversions.

Any garden tractor sales place carries small single throw switches for tractors - they are keyed and work GREAT!! Personally, I like a tether switch "like a snowmobile/jet ski) - not keyed but easy to pop when you leave your bike unattended and VERY hideable! Also real handy to wear if you like to fall!
